What Others Are Saying About Kevin Hanley

Auburn Journal Endorses Kevin Hanley, Oct. 3, 2010

"Hanley has led the highly successful Project Canyon Safe, utilizing volunteer labor to create and widen a fuel break around the city. This critical swath could help stave off a catastrophic fire emanating from the American River Canyon.

Hanley's leadership and hands-on approach, working with the state and federal governments, is impressive and potentially lifesaving.

Hanley has great ideas, like the Think Auburn First business campaign, which he also puts into action. He is well qualified and deserves support. Additionally, he is working on a citywide economic development plan to identify what needs Auburn business has and how those can be met."

"For Kevin Hanley Auburn comes first, and that's exactly why I'm casting my vote for his re-election to the Auburn City Council. Kevin's tenure on the council speaks for itself. Over the years he has helped balance the city's budget, endorsed creation of jobs, supported efforts to build parks, sidewalks and bike lanes, voted to keep sewer rates lower, and wholeheartedly advocated for arts and recreation.

But that's not all. As chairman of the Greater Auburn Area Fire Safe Council, Kevin created "Project Canyon Safe" to reduce the fire danger to Auburn and its fire fighters. Kevin has personally joined in fire reduction efforts on several canyon clean-up days. Also, Kevin serves as chairman of the "Think Auburn First" project and is a champion for Auburn businesses, jobs, and charities.

Kevin Hanley has my vote for Auburn's City Council; please give him your vote as well."

"I firmly believe that we need men of Kevin's caliber tackling the many challenges our city faces. His conviction to support our efforts to proactively reduce the fire danger, to enhance our small town traditions and act decisively and conservatively in fiscal matters deserve the support of the voting people of our city. Kevin can be trusted to listen and act in our best interests."

"I fell in love with Kevin - a smart, funny and lovable problem-solver - watching him find win-win solutions when we were working on HMO reform at the Capitol. Long story short, we got married and bought a home in the wonderful town of Auburn. Having been around politics all my life, I know Kevin will make an excellent city council member."
