EDUCATION AND PROVEN LEADERSHIP:

B.A. in Political Economy - UC Berkeley; M.A. in Public Policy - Claremont Graduate School. Naval Officer on aircraft carrier USS MIDWAY (1985-1989). Chief Consultant on Health and Insurance Legislation with the California Legislature (1989-present). Helped negotiate HMO reform laws, such as access to specialists (like OB/GYNs) and second opinions.

SMALL BUSINESS EXPERIENCE:

Kevin knows small business challenges firsthand. He spent 7 years working in his family’s butcher’s market.

AUBURN COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT:

Chamber of Commerce Forum, Chairman of the Greater Auburn Area Fire Safe Council, and Lector at St. Joseph’s Church.

Married to Hattie Hanley. Enjoys his family, reading, running, working in the garden, the Auburn Symphony, oil painting, and local events.
